Cayuta Sun Farm’s shiitake mushrooms, plus pasture-raised chicken and pork will be on sale and a chicken barbeque will run from 11 a.m. through 3 p.m. offering lunch. The prix fixe meal for $12 includes a half-chicken grown at Cayuta Sun Farm and a spread of dishes almost entirely produced from the Cayuta Sun gardens. During the Permaculture tour, Michael Burns will offer a walk of the land and its systems at 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 1:30 pm. and 3:00 p.m.

Permaculture organizers Jake Maher Delisle and Anna McCown will offer brief “Introduction to Permaculture” presentations in our yurt classroom at 11 a.m., 12 p.m., 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.

Cayuta Sun Farm Intern Nicole Costa will be in the mushroom yard throughout the day demonstrating our log-grown shiitake mushroom production. Interns Melanie Alexea, Robert Massar, and Hannah Scott will be on hand to answer questions and guide visitors throughout the weekend.
