Pasture-raised pork available in limited quantities


We have been raising four Duroc-Yorkshire crosses since May. They have been happily moving across pasture, upturning roots and worms along the way. The largest of the four has just been sent to a local USDA-certified butchering operation in Schuyler County and the rest–finished on corn, pumpkins and apples–will follow in December.

Portions: About 100 pounds of meat will come from each hog. This will be a mix of pork chops, ribs, ham, bacon and sausage.  Packages will be frozen. More details are available on the order form. The order form changes with each harvest and may not reflect recently sold out items.

Delivery & Pick-up: Deliveries to locations in or near Elmira, Ithaca or Watkins Glen can be arranged some Wednesday and Friday evenings  from 6 to 9 pm for a $10 fee. Free delivery is available on Mondays, December 9, 16, 23, and 30th, 2013 to friends and neighbors in Schuyler and Tompkins counties. You can also make an appointment to visit Cayuta Sun Farm to get your pork.
